Information on electrical and electronic equipment


The following notice is intended for private end users who use electrical and/or electronic equipment.

1. Notes on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and the meaning of the symbol in the Appendix

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:
You are legally obliged to return used batteries as end users and have to collect them separately from unsorted municipal waste. You can return batteries free of charge after use to us or in the designated collection points (e.g. in municipal collection points or in the trade). You can also send the batteries back to us by post. If you have old devices with old batteries or accumulators that are not enclosed by the old device, you must separate them from the device at a collection point before handing them in. This shall not apply where the waste equipment is separated from other waste equipment by the public waste management bodies for the purpose of preparing it for reuse and preparing it for reuse.
Contaminated batteries are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out dustbin and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for classification as containing the pollutant.
The following symbol - crossed-out dustbin - indicates old equipment that must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste:




2. Information on the possibility of returning old equipment:

If you own old equipment, you can return it to the facilities set up and available by public disposal authorities for the return or collection of old equipment for the purpose of the proper disposal of the old equipment.
If necessary, it may also be possible to return electrical and electronic equipment for the purpose of reusing the equipment. You can obtain further information on this from the respective collection or redemption point.

In addition, as a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, we provide the following option(s) for the return of old equipment for its users:

In accordance with ElektroG2, there is no obligation to take it back in our case. A voluntary return is possible. This service is free of charge for consumers, only transport costs will be charged.


3. Privacy policy

Old devices to be disposed of may contain partly sensitive personal data (e.g. on a PC or a smartphone) which must not fall into the hands of third parties.

We expressly point out that end users of waste equipment are responsible for the deletion of personal data on the waste equipment to be disposed of.
